About me

My journey as a Software Engineer has been shaped by diverse experiences and continuous learning. I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, each teaching me something new and helping me grow both technically and professionally.

Most recently, I worked at Drata, where I contributed to building software using technologies like NestJS, styled-components, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React.js. It was a rewarding experience to collaborate with a talented team and solve challenging problems, further honing my skills in modern web development and security compliance automation.

In previous roles, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects, from developing room card enrollment systems at ArkusNexus using C++, Arduino, Rust, and Svelte, to implementing key frontend features in Vue.js and Elm at LionDesk. Each of these projects gave me valuable opportunities to learn new technologies and improve my problem-solving skills.

During my time at Thermo Fisher Scientific, I was part of a team that migrated a large application from AngularJS to Angular, which improved performance and usability. I also gained experience with infrastructure tools like Kong Gateway and Amazon EKS, which deepened my understanding of backend systems and cloud services.

Outside of work, I’ve recently developed an interest in cuisine and nutrition. Living in Mexico presents a unique challenge for balancing these interests with the amazing and delicious food that’s everywhere—it’s hard to resist! Exploring ways to enjoy great food while staying mindful of nutrition has been both fun and rewarding.

I also enjoy spending time in nature, and one of my favorite recent trips was to Laguna Hanson, where the banner photo above was taken. It’s a stunning place that offers a great contrast to the energy of city life. Being in the woods and observing the beauty of nature has been a grounding and inspiring experience for me, helping me to better appreciate both the natural world and the human creativity that thrives in urban environments.

Every project I’ve been a part of has helped me refine my skills and broaden my perspective. I approach my work with the mindset of learning from both successes and challenges, and I’m always eager to collaborate, improve, and explore new ideas.
